The Oath of the Vayuputras by Amish Tripathi PDF Overview
In The Oath of the Vayuputras, the last book of a really cool story, Shiva is ready to fight his true enemy. He’s learned some important secrets and now understands things much better. Shiva took on the role of Neelkanth and went to the Capital of Nagas called Panchavati. There, he has to face a really scary guy who gives everyone goosebumps.
Shiva is super strong and the war is really big this time. The battle is important because it will save the soul of the nation.
There will be sadness, death, and lots of unhappiness. But Shiva can’t give up because it’s for the greater good. Finally, Shiva, who is like a god, accepts that he’s the hero everyone needs.
It’s his responsibility to save India and everyone is counting on him, hoping for a miracle.
Shiva is desperate to save the country, so he asks for help from the Vayuputras, even though they never helped him before. But it’s not easy to convince these ancient people.
They need to believe that the real Neelkanth is there to save the day. Shiva has to make new friends, learn new things, and finally face the enemy.
But what will it cost? How will the battle affect Neelkanth, his family, his loved ones, and all of India? What does it take to fight against evil? We get the answers to these questions in the final part of the ‘Shiva Trilogy’. It’s time to blow the battle horn!
Amish Tripathi the Author of The Oath of the Vayuputras
Amish Tripathi is a really cool author from India. He wanted his stories to be famous, so he wrote amazing books like ‘The Shiva Trilogy’, ‘Scion of Ikshvaku’, and ‘Sita: Warrior of Mithila’.
His newest book is called ‘Legend of Suheldev: The King Who Saved India’. The books in the Shiva Trilogy became super popular and sold really fast in the country.
Amish is great at taking characters from mythology and making them part of exciting stories. He made Lord Shiva into a powerful wanderer.
Amish was even on a list of the 50 most powerful Indians in 2019. He’s also one of the top 100 celebrities in India according to Forbes.
Before becoming an author, Amish went to a fancy school called IIM Calcutta and worked in a bank for 14 years. But then he took a big chance and published his book ‘The Immortals of Meluha’, and it became a huge hit!
Amish comes from a traditional Indian family, and they always talked about mythology during dinner. That inspired him to write stories about Lord Shiva, and he never stopped after that.
His other books are about Indian gods like Sita, Rama, and their enemy Ravana. His books have been translated into 17 different languages, which is really awesome!
The Oath of the Vayuputras Book Review
Let’s remember what happened in the previous books. Shiva went on a journey to a place called Meluha with his friends. They found Meluha to be a strange and strict place at first, but they learned to fit in and understand how people lived there.
In Meluha, people drank a special potion called somras, which made them healthy and live longer. But the somras had some hidden stories behind them.
When Shiva drank the somras, his throat turned blue, and everyone thought he was their hero called Neelkanth. He helped the Meluhans fight against their enemies, the Nagas.
But in the second book, Shiva discovered that the Nagas weren’t actually evil like the Meluhans believed. They were different and had unusual bodies, but they also believed in the story of Neelkanth and wanted him to help their people.
The Nagas were losing their loved ones, and their children were dying too early. The Saraswati River was drying up, and the Nagas’ bodies were changing as they grew up.
In ‘The Oath of the Vayuputras,’ Shiva has to find answers to many questions. He needs to figure out what’s causing all this trouble between the neighbors.
Will Shiva fight for justice and win the battle? That’s what the last book is all about!
The Connection
Let’s imagine a different version of Lord Shiva’s story in The Oath of the Vayuputras. Forget what you already know about him and enjoy this new adventure!
In this book, some of the characters might be different from what you expect. Veer Bhadra, for example, is a unique character with a separate story. The same goes for Kali and Sati. They’re not exactly what you might think.
There’s also some confusion between Rudra and Shiva. In real life, Rudra is another name for the Mighty God, but here they’re two different Mahadevs. It might be a bit tricky to understand, but remember, this is all fiction created by the writer’s imagination.
If you can set aside what you already know and see this as a new tale, it will be a great experience.
It’s important not to connect these books with the actual mythological stories. The characters use some scientific terms to explain things to Shiva, which can be a bit confusing since we don’t know when this story takes place.
But don’t worry, it’s all part of the beautiful world created by the author. Just enjoy the journey and let your imagination take you on an exciting adventure!
My Favorite Things
When I read The Nagas, I felt like the story was slow and not very exciting. The editing wasn’t done well, and it made the story suffer. But The Oath of the Vayuputras is different!
The editing in this book is much better, and the story is not boring at all. There’s a lot of action that keeps you wanting to read more. Plus, the author has this cool trick of revealing secrets throughout the story.
You’ll have some “Wow” moments while reading the book. The female characters are strong and they shine in a few pages.
Sati is a great example of patience and strength. And there’s Kali, who follows Shiva like a brave warrior and isn’t afraid of facing swords.
The ending of the book is really satisfying. It gives a true sense of closure to the story, and you’ll feel peaceful after reading it. Everyone ends up where they should be.
You’ll notice some similarities to the actual mythology, but the author also brings out strong emotions in the readers. The oath of the Vayuputras and the story will stay in your mind even after you finish reading it.
What Didn’t Appeal to Me
attention.
The author keeps using the words “good” and “evil” so much that it gets annoying. We understand what he means, but he keeps repeating it unnecessarily.
It feels like he’s just trying to fill the pages with unnecessary repetition. Shiva finally realizes how important he is in the story, but it leaves us with some questions as readers.
Some of the revelations in the book don’t feel very convincing because there could have been better ways to explain them. Even Shiva himself questions some situations.
I agree with him there. Then the wise men say that it’s “the magic of the Universe.” It took my practical mind a while to understand that concept of “magic.”
But the ending is the result of the whole journey and the choices made. That’s when you start to feel like, “Yes, that makes sense.”
But while reading the book, you might have conflicting thoughts or different opinions.
The Oath of Vayuputras Conclusion
Shiva’s journey has finally reached a peaceful end. He fought for what he believed in, loved others unconditionally, and brought happiness to those deserving.
He defeated the “evil” and now understands that he fulfilled his life’s purpose. You will be captivated by Shiva’s thoughts and understanding of things.
You’ll treasure his journey, and this book is a great ending to a wonderful beginning. If you’ve been a fan of the series, you won’t be disappointed by this book. Cheers to Shiva and his followers!
